The DK Team

Daniel Krienbuehl, CR

(Pronounced Kree-en-buell)

A smiling man with short dark hair wearing a blue jacket over a red shirt, outdoors in a natural setting with trees and cloudy sky in the background.

President of DK Contractors

Daniel started his construction career in 1983 as an apprentice in Switzerland, Europe. There, he learned from experienced old-school carpenters how to frame timber and build log houses. Cutting mortise and tenons for structural posts is still something that's done today. Since the late '80s, Daniel has learned all about the ever-changing U.S. construction industry. Daniel started his own remodeling company in 2001 and has since designed and built many additions and remodels in and around Montgomery County, MD.

Through years of experience, DK Contractors has obtained the noteworthy ability to navigate design changes that make construction easier and cheaper. We have proven ourselves to be an upstanding communicator, prompting all parties involved in a remodeling project to work as one. Our ability to plan, schedule, and execute projects has made jobs less stressful and more rewarding for our clients. Mentioned frequently in client reviews are that the DK team are staying within budget, responsive and available, clean and organized, and completing the job on time. Winner of the four noteworthy CotY Awards and PRO Awards, Daniel brings a track record of success to every project.

Martin Krienbuehl, PD

Project Developer of DK Contractors

Martin grew up surrounded by the atmosphere of construction and home renovation, as he followed his dad around Home Depot and helped with small projects around the house with his three brothers.

After high school, he participated in and later worked for a gap-year program where he led workshops and camps, educating and leading young adults, instilling in them a healthy confidence, and virtues to carry them in their own lives. He went overseas, doing service work 5 other countries, including developing countries like Benin and Peru, where he collaborated with locals in public service efforts.

These experiences eventually lead him to return home and work with his father in the remodeling industry, feeling the impact that thoughtful design and construction can have on people’s lives.

Martin continues to show eagerness in learning the ins and outs of the business from the designing and estimating, to the building science and construction that can lead to curating beautiful spaces best suited for each client.
