How Much Will My Project Cost?

Modern kitchen with gray cabinets, marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, hanging spherical pendant lights, three black barstools at the counter, hardwood floor, and a view of a sunlit living room with large windows.

Most kitchen renovations we do involve removing walls, installing windows, even adding square footage to accommodate the new layout. Many kitchens’ installations happen together with larger changes to the home.

Kitchens

Kitchen Renovation Average:

$60,000 to $200,000

Backyard view of a two-story house with beige siding, a wooden deck with stairs, and a sliding glass door. There is an air conditioning unit and a large gray outdoor cooler outside. The sky is clear and blue.

One-story additions are typically designed to expand existing living spaces. Common additions include master suites with large bathrooms, walk-in closets, and private bedrooms. Others expand public spaces such as kitchens, living rooms, and dining areas.

One-Story Addition

One Story Addition Average:

$120,000 to $250,000

Exterior view of a two-story house with white siding, large windows, a brick foundation, and a small patio with outdoor furniture. Trees and a clear blue sky are in the background.

Two-story additions typically provide expanded living space on the lower level and a master suite on the upper level. As with all additions, price variations depend primarily on the extent of alterations required to the existing structure to accommodate the new addition.

Two Story Addition

Two Story Addition Average:

$300,000 to $500,000

A two-story house with blue siding and red brick on the lower level, white trim, and multiple windows, surrounded by green plants and trees.

Adding a second floor to an existing structure requires careful planning. We have built many over the years and have a proven system in place. The significant increase in square footage often requires reconfiguring the first-floor layout to accommodate the new space.

2nd Story Addition

2nd Story Addition Average:

$300,000 to $700,000+

Living room area with a large gray couch adorned with yellow and brown pillows, a teal armchair, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV on a white entertainment stand, and a kitchen corner with gray cabinets and a mosaic backsplash.

Basement renovations are rewarding because they transform an existing space, whether it is being renovated or finished for the first time. We are seeing more basements converted into ADU apartments or in-law suites.
